MY APPROACH . VELA

Before anything else,
you belong here,
As you are.

Not when you're more flexible. Not when you move like the person next to you. Right now.

YOU BELONG HERE

Every person carries
a light.

My job is not to fix you, it's to help you remember what was always there.

Most yoga classes give you a sequence to follow. My class asks you to follow your own body.

There is a difference between movement that looks right and movement that feels right. Most of us have been taught to chase a shape to push until we get there, to override what the body is saying in pursuit of what the pose is supposed to look like.

I teach the opposite.

FEELING INTO, NOT FORCING THROUGH

My approach  follows two limbs.

The biomechanics of the body through the lens of Blissology understanding lines of tension and how postures actually function, guided by Eoin Finn's philosophy that presence is the point, not perfection.

Myofascial Integrated Alignment developed by Dylan Werner which works with the body's fascial system to create movement that is intelligent, purposeful, and deeply connected.

Together they create something unexpected. Your body cannot go through the motions. You have to be here.

★ The Method

What is Myofascial Integrated Alignment?

The myofascial system is the connective tissue network that runs through your entire body, shaping your posture, your movement patterns, and how force travels through you.

MIA works with this system rather than against it. Instead of forcing a pose, we learn to create the conditions where the body can organise itself naturally, building mobility, stability, and strength in a sustainable way.

The result is movement that feels different. Lighter. More connected. More intelligent.

What happens when you show up

Students after class share with me how they feel open not depleted. Present not exhausted. Like the body has finally worked with itself, not against it.

Sometimes they experience an emotional release. Because the body holds more than tension it holds patterns we have been carrying for a long time. When the movement is intelligent enough and the space is safe enough, the body knows how to let go.

But what moves me most is what happens beyond the physical.

People leave feeling connected to their body, to themselves, to something larger. There is gratitude. There is a quiet joy. A sense of belonging not just in the room, but in their own life.

This is what practice is truly for not just to open the body, but to open the heart. So that every person carries that light a little further into the world.
